Here’s my review of the Brooks Cascadia 20. Ive used these shoes for the past few weeks, going on some trail runs, and also a 3 day backpacking trip. Overall, I really like these shoes. They offer a lot of support, with a tall stack height and a lot of foam. After a full day on trail They were still pretty comfortable, which is saying something after 8 hours on your feet. They have a narrow profile, which I liked, so they feel a little more nimble moving around rocks and roots and down hills. But, these things arent super fast or responsive, and you feel that with the amount of cushion they have. I definitely had some close ankle rolls on rocks on trail with these shoes and I normally never roll my ankles on trail. Out of the box, these felt comfortable, but I did have to loosen the top part of the laces to accommodate my high arches. For cruising on trail, I honestly loved these and I’d buy them again.
